Valerie Ann Shultzabarger

Valerie was born on December 2, 1946 to the late Martin and Ann Marttila (née Accica) in Warren, OH. She was a ‘70 and ‘72 graduate of Kent State University where she was an instructor known as Valerie Ann Dueber. Upon her relocating to Minnesota, she held teaching positions in the Minnesota Community Colleges and also served an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota. She was also a communications consultant.

Her interests were varied. She particularly enjoyed various art forms and was a consummate decorator to include her passion for collecting antiques. Valerie especially enjoyed cooking and gardening at their cabin. Over the years, she was never without a number of pet cats or dog by her side.

Valerie is survived by her husband and care giver Charles (Chuck) W. Shultzabarger of Maplewood, MN, a sister-in-law Janet L. Shultzabarger of Woodbury, MN, a cousin Larry Urban of Milford, CT and friend Jodi Schuster of Glenwood, MN.

Upon her wishes there were no services. She will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
