She was surrounded by her sons, TJ and Eric, as well as her daughter, Kristin, in the days leading up to and through her passing.
If you knew Anne, you’d know she was a prolific watercolor painter, and had a deep love of art of all kinds. Even deeper, however, was her love for her kids and grandkids. Her background in early childhood special education made her a perfect playmate. She delighted in spending time with them, and was constantly supporting their swim meets and basketball, softball, baseball and soccer games. She adored their plays and concerts, and even stepped in to provide childcare on sick days – insisting she was immune to strep throat. She is already deeply missed by TJ and Julie’s children (Nate, Claudia, and Stephanie), Kristin and Matt’s children (Samantha and Kaitlyn), and Eric and Heidi’s children (Emmett, Vivi, and Grant).
She is also deeply missed by her mother, Mary Ann Jeffrey of Minneapolis, as well as her eight siblings: Molly Stewart of Danbury, WI; Tom (Patti Jo) Jeffrey of Rosemount, MN; Bob (Colleen) Jeffrey of Danbury, WI; Patty (Pat) Kane of Wabasha, MN; David (Mary) Jeffrey, of Richfield, MN; Jim (Geri) Jeffrey of Bloomington, MN; Marti (Chuck) Bullock of Fridley, MN and Peter (Karyn) Jeffrey of Rosemount, MN. She loved spending time with her mother (who lovingly reminded her of an old nickname – “the girl with the chocolate eyes” – in Anne’s final days) and savored sister weekends and cabin time at Voyageur Village. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Jeffrey, and her brother-in-law, Ralph Stewart.
In the midst of our sadness, we are comforted by the fact that we do not mourn as those who have no hope. Anne had a close relationship with God, as well as with the women she met through leading Bible studies at church. These relationships were a constant source of joy in her life, and we are thrilled that she is now dancing with no pain in her lungs or knees or anywhere else, amidst the beautiful blades of grass in heaven.
We’ll be celebrating her arrival in heaven on Monday, October 9 at Crossroads Church in Woodbury (5900 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125). Visitation will begin at 10 am, with a service at 11 am, followed by a luncheon. If you wish to send a memorial, please honor her by making a donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation via https://bit.ly/AnneStone.
