Joy Hubbard

On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, Joy Hubbard, beloved wife of Larry Hubbard, Grenfell, SK died at the age of 60 years. The funeral service will be held in the Grenfell United Church, Grenfell, SK on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. With Rev. David Maxwell officiating. Cremation with a private interment in the Weldon Cemetery at a later date. Predeceased by her parents, Bern and Flora Jeeves, her father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Belva Hubbard, brother-in-law, David Hubbard and sister-in-law Beverley Bender. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 42 years Larry, her children Janell, Jerrod (Candice) and Jamie (Carla), her grandchildren: Skyla and Shea Kirkness, Emma, Hunter and Blake Hubbard, her brother, Stan (Peggy) Jeeves, brothers-in-law, Lorne (Beth) Hubbard and Glenn Bender, as well as her nieces and nephews. Joy fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. She worked at both Grenfell and District Pioneer Home and Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley. She was a proud trade unionist with SIEU and CUPE 3967. Joy was a hard working volunteer with the Grenfell Wildlife Federation, Kidsport, Brownies and other organizations. She will be missed. The family would like to thank the staff of the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, the Indian Head Union Hospital and the Grenfell and District Pioneer Home as well as Pastor Dave Wicks, Shirley Schlamp and Rev. David Maxwell, your kindnesses will not be forgotten.
