She was forever the gentle, kind, smiling little sister..and she continued to be that throughout her life...a pioneer in so many ways...from dental nursing, to entering business with Ruth...but her love of her hubby and family were her greatest joyful ness I ever observed..from times at Katepwa ....my heart aches for your loss...May Janet be at rest. Take care...a dearest soul who has left way too soon.

To the Garden/Miller families.  That was a very moving service for Janet on April 20th.  I only got to know her in the 90’s when I visited Wolseley frequently after my mother, Edith Marlin was widowed.  My mom dealt with Janet for financial matters and advice and was always pleased.  When I went to GrantTax with Mom on many occasions, it was a pleasure dealing with Janet and having a personal chat with her as well as the business talk.  I also remember that Edith and Phyllis were very good friends. 
I will share a memory that demonstrates her kindness and generosity.  When Janet learned that my WHS graduating class was having a 50th reunion in Wolseley in 2010, she offered to let me and my husband stay at her and Terry’s home.  What a privilege to stay in that lovely house that Rob mentioned at the service. I was able to put the banner that I had made in honor of our reunion up on the balcony for all to see.  I have kept in touch with her, mostly electronically, before and after that event. 
In closing, I send my sincerest condolences to all of Janet’s family.  She was a lovely person and a joy to know.  She will be greatly missed.

A profound sadness has been cast over our town. Janet will be remembered as kind, positive and recently, courageous. Auntie Janet was the centre of our family - she organised our family gatherings, and kept us together after Nana’s passing. She was always so calm and kind, such a wonderful person and listener with a great understanding of people. I have such great memories of our times together in Wolseley and at the lake. Auntie Janet and Uncle T came such a great distance for our wedding in Somerset, England and her words of advice in her card to us still resonate: “Be gentle with each other.” I think it sums up her heart and soul perfectly. Auntie Janet, you will be sorely missed, but I’m relieved you’re no longer suffering and in pain. Sending loads of love to Uncle T, Jarrod, Kristin, Jillian and family. I am saddened to hear of Janet's passing, my condolences to Terry and family, and to the Garden family. Having been raised in Wolseley our family knew both the Miller's and Garden families well, as is the case in Sask small town life. I first met Terry when we both attended Mount Crescent school many years ago, we then moved on to school ln Wolseley both junior and high school, where I first met Janet. I will always remember her smile and caring nature. She was a quality person, always had a word of greeting for me and I shall remember her with fondness. Farewell Janet your time here was well lived. Kent.

Through the years, we have shared many happy family times with Janet, Terry and family. Even as adults, we are called Uncle Erwin and Auntie Neva.  Now, sadly, we will all miss Janet’s  happy personality and even temperament. Even with challenging health problems, she remained positive and helpful to her family and others. Her’s was a life too short, but a life well lived.

We had the best chat  over the phone a few years ago, when I found out how ill she was, and I was amazed by how optimistic she sounded.
