And live Rafael Antonio Bassi did, from the time he was born on March 26, 1960, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, to the time he passed away peacefully at his home in Orlando on January 6, 2024. Rafael's passion for life was evident in his love for his family, friends, soccer, music, cooking, and being fluent in four languages.
A proud graduate of both University of Miami with a BS in Civil Engineering and University of Florida with a BA in Geology, he is survived by his wife, Helen Maio, his mother Rosalia Bassi Garcia, his sister Clementina "Tina" Bassi and many loving friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father Luis Bassi.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1pm ET at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with a reception following.
