Madeline married Louis in 1955 and enjoyed a full life in New York, New Jersey and Florida. They traveled extensively including spending time cruising to wonderful locations around the world.
Madeline attended St. Mary’s Hospital College in New York where she received her degree in Nursing in 1949. Madeline loved her work as the Director Of Nursing at Ingleside Nursing Home in Old Tappan, NJ, the town where she and Lou raised their children, Frank and Gina.
Madeline was committed to her Catholic faith and was an active Church volunteer. She loved laughing, playing tennis and golf. As well, she was an avid reader and challenged herself with The New York Times Crossword Puzzle. Madeline was also devoted to children and made all who came her way feel special. By far her most treasured roles were wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Madeline cherished her family and was the happiest when everyone was together. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Louis Ferrara; daughter, Gina Ferrara-Bates and husband John Bates; son, Francis Ferrara and wife JoAnne Ferrara; Grandchildren Francesca and Therese Ferrara and Olivia and Catherine Bates; her brother Ralph Nappi and his wife Maureen; her sister Joanne Aboff and husband Shelly; and many nieces and nephews.
