"Tina," Christine Mae McCrea, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017, after losing her five year battle with cancer. She was born in California on June 16, 1957, and survived by her life partner Carrie, her children Rachel Nesheim, Rebekah Goodson, and Joshua Goodson, her brother Thomas "Marty" (Jan) McCrea, and sister Millie (Hugh) Crenshaw, and nephew Tommy (Kim) Crenshaw.
Tina was known for taking in any lost or stray, abandoned or hurt. She spend the last few years taking in senior rescues in hopes of providing their forever home. She never married and adopted her children at the ages of 10, 12, and 14, and she dedicated her life to them. She played the piano and guitar and loved all genres of music. Her love of fishing began at an early age with her father, and continued throughout her life. She loved her Chihuahuas, Gretta and Gizmo, and her four cats Pongo, Sebastian, Pancake, and Rainglow, all of whom now need forever homes.
Please send flowers, or in lieu of flowers, Tina's family has asked that donations be made to "Grind for Life," a charitable organization that gave of their time and resources to her friend's daughter, Sarah, who passed of cancer at the age of 15.
All of Tina's friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of her life at her home in Winter Park, which will immediately following the burial.
