She was born on Feb. 9, 1928 in Ft. Pierce, Fl. and attended local schools there. She met her husband, Clarence W. Donnelly, in Ft. Pierce and they were married on Nov. 5, 1944.
She is preceeded in death by her parents Paul & Rena Hood; brothers Ray, Tommy, and Earl Hood; her first husband Clarence W. Donnelly; her second husband Kenneth R. Skinner; and her son, Paul Donnelly
She is survived by a brother, Richard Hood, of Ft. Pierce, FL., a daughter, Anita K. Jones (Joe) of Winter Haven, FL; four Grandchildren , Terry Jones (Teresa) of Winter Haven, Heather K. Ribaric (Brian), of Orlando; Anthony Donnelly of Lakeland, and Cora Donnelly of Delcity, OK. Also surviving are six great- grandchildren . She is survived by two step-children, Don Skinner (Deb) of Connecticut, and Debbie Brock (Dave) of Ohio, and five step-grandchildren.
She was an active member of Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church in Winter Haven, until her health curtailed her attendance. She was a member and Past Matron of Winter Haven Chapter No. 74 Order of Eastern Star and was a past Royal Matron of the Kathleen Court of Amaranth.
Visitation will be on Thurs., Sept 1, 2016, at Ott Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. with an Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church, Winter Haven, at 10:00 a.m.. A private burial with the family will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Joe Jones Scholarship Fund at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 1800 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33884, or to the Beymer Bronze Handbell Choir at Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church, 700 No. Lake Howard Drive, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
