Stanley Hope, 78, of Sebring, FL, passed away on December 20, 2024. Born on March 10, 1946, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Hugh Stanley Hope and Marjorie Garner (née Blake), Stanley lived a life marked by service, love, and adventure. He spent many wonderful years in Cape Coral, Florida, and Sebring, Florida, where he built a legacy of kindness and dedication.
Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda J. Hope (née Feathers). Together, they shared a deep love and many joyful years of marriage.
Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating the core values of integrity, service, and excellence. Following his military service, he found his calling as a firefighter, dedicating his career to the Cape Coral Fire Department and the Champaign, IL Fire Department. His commitment to protecting others will be remembered as a lasting legacy.
Stanley’s passions extended far beyond his career. He was a man of many talents, with a love for nature photography, woodworking, fishing, and traveling. He was happiest when spending time outdoors, capturing the beauty of nature through his camera lens, or creating something special in his workshop.
He is survived by his children: Melissa (Ned) Brown, Angela Adams, and Stephen Hope; stepson Todd (Susan) Casad; and his grandchildren: Ryan Cahill, Hanna Cahill, Jenna Cahill, Alysa Adams, Elizabeth Adams, Seth Hope, and Maddy Hope, as well as two great-grandchildren.
Stanley is also survived by his siblings: Pam (Garner) Davis, Jeffery Garner, and Greg Garner, all of Missouri.
Stanley will be fondly remembered for his generosity, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to a local Quilts of Valor chapter or a National Park Association of your choice, in lieu of flowers, to honor his memory and legacy.
