Fred S. Atkinson, age 77, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born August 6, 1937 in Irwin County, GA the son of Andrew Jackson Atkinson and Lou Shuler Atkinson. He served in the National Guard for 10 years. He was a postal clerk for 38 years with the US Postal Service in Winter Haven. He served as an usher with Grace Lutheran Church where he was a member for more than 50 years. Mr. Atkinson was a devoted, loving husband to his wife, children and grandchildren.
Mr. Atkinson is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Lansden Atkinson, daughters Catherine Atkinson and Beth Hines, grandchildren Austin Hines, Miranda Music and Cassidy Music and great-granddaughter Brooke Hines.
Memorial services are Tuesday 3:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church.
