Dorothy E Clifford

Elaine was born on Feb 25th, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio to Florence and James Opre. She was married on March 20th, 1948 to Bill Clifford who passed away in 1989.

Elaine was a member of The Jacaranda Garden Club of Winter Haven for over 50 years. She was a charter member of Hope Presbyterian Church where she also served as a Deaconess and church elder. In 2003, Elaine was named Honorary Life Member of Presbyterian Women.

Elaine's volunteer efforts include decades of flower arranging for her church and many years of service at Regency Women's Center. In the late 60's and early 70's, Elaine was a school nurse at Brigham Elementary School.

Always a pillar of support to her family and friends, she is survived by her daughter Wendy Ames, her husband Jim, their children Kaley and Cameron, her son Bill Jr., his wife Gina, their son Will, another son Ron and his wife Lynn. She is also survived by her brother Ron Opre of Parma, Ohio, his wife Glenna as well as their extended family.

Mom, you are cherished and missed.

Visitation is Monday, November 22, 2010 from 1-2 pm at the Hope Presbyterian Church, Winter Haven with funeral services following at 2:00 pm.
