Survived by his only child, George, daughter-in-law, Nancyann, grandchildren Lauren, Evan & Grant. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rebecca, in May of ‘22–they were 5-weeks shy of their 60th anniversary.
Born in Rochester, NY to Italian/Sicilian immigrant parents, Matteo & Vincenzina. He served our country proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a career postal worker in Rochester until his retirement. He then moved to Central, FL in ‘87. He was an avid sports buff & would always have the TV on sporting events—he watched it all, except racing (which ironically is his son’s passion).
He was not the easiest person to get along with, but deep down, he was a good person. He had tremendous love for his family at his core—and was able to finally verbalize it before he left to the Light. He was a man of great integrity, character & honesty—he would always do the right thing, no matter what. I will love and miss you, dad—thank you for shaping me to be the man I grew up to be, just by your silent example. Please tell mom that I love and miss her terribly, when you’re reunited with her. I will see you both again, someday… Godspeed.
