Mary Therese (Anglin) Newell

Mary Therese (Anglin) Newell, age 71, of Windermere, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 4, 2022 after a long illness . Mary was born September 27, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, one of 9 children, to the late James Merrill Anglin and Winifred (Kelly) Anglin. She was a paralegal and interior designer in New York City. She also established her own interior design business in Fairfax, VA, and also worked for United Airlines, and at several travel agencies in the Washington, DC area. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved travel, cooking, and animal rescues.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Winifred Lydford, and brothers Richard Anglin and John Anglin. She is survived by her husband of 31 years Kenneth Newell of Windermere, FL, daughter DawnMarie Newell (Christopher Hickman) of Windermere, FL, by step-daughters Amy Kuhlmann (Brian) of Reston, VA, and Julie Scarpato (Michael) of Pflugerville, TX, by sisters Nancy Elhajj (Anthony) of The Villages, FL, and Theresa Saunders (Dwight) of Cazenovia, NY, and brothers James Anglin (Phyllis) of Simi Valley, CA, Michael Anglin (Kathy) of Ann Arbor, MI, and Thomas Anglin (Donna) of Ilion, NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Casey, Christopher, CJ, and Cody Scarpato, and Zachary, Zoe, and Aiden Newell-Hickman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Winter Garden, FL. After a private creamation, a celebration of Mary's life will be held at the family's convenience.
