Always was a pleasure to see her at the annual Guyanese Mass in New York. She will be missed this year.  She was a passionate defender of the faith and always stood up for the voiceless among us. Her work for and among the poor and sick, both in Guyana and New York, was testament to her heeding Christ's call.
May the Angels Lead [her] into paradise; may the martyrs receive [her] at [her] arrival and lead [her] to the holy city Jerusalem. May choirs of angels receive [her] and with Lazarus, once (a) poor (man), may she have eternal rest.

My deepest felt condolences to the family,
  Sister and I bonded as ICU nurses at Kings County Hospital.  She was a disciplined and respected co-worker.   Her compassion for her patients was obvious often in the way she advocated for them.   She was a precious gem that remains in many hearts that she touched.  
  She will definitely be missed by her KCHC family and many others.

I have the fondest memories and joy at being her friend and working
with her for many many  years.
I especially appreciated her periodic visits to me after I became disabled, I know it was a long and difficult trip on public transportation for her. First from Brooklyn to Sparkill NY and then to 
Rockleigh NJ.

I had the please of working with Sister Doreen in the ICU at KCHC. She was always compassionate and a superb nurse. Even though this was years ago and we lost touch, I'm very saddened by her passing.
Sleep in Peace Sister.

We will always remember your faith and bravery during our Covid battle in ICU.
Sister Doreen stayed hand in hand with  the staff in facing any challenge that  walks into our unit.

 Only a few weeks before I read anout her receivong an award for promoting vocations to the Consecrated Life.
That was her chosen way of life in following Jesus Christ.
It was a privelege to accompany Doreen whhen in 1978, Doreen began her journey in the Consecrated life
