Wayne (Oke) O’Keefe passed away at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 63, with his two sons by his side.
Wayne was born in Belleville, Ontario in 1948 and later moved to Winnipeg. After high school he went on to earn his certificates in Industrial and Management Accounting. He worked as an accountant for many years, most recently from home. He spent several years on the executive at Norberry Community Club and earned community recognition for his many volunteer commitments throughout his life time. Wayne also enjoyed many years curling and was an avid golfer.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Carole in 2006, who he missed dearly.
Wayne is lovingly remembered by his sons Steve and Jeff (Leanne); grandchildren Bradley, Kailyn and Alicia, and brother Dan (Sharon).
A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 21, at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard with Reverend Frasier Muldrew Officiating. Interment will follow.
