Robert Edward Coates at the age of 72.
Bob is survived by his best friend and devoted wife Patricia Joy. He was an amazing father to Cliff Tucker (Jodi), Derek (Marina), and Keith and a proud grandfather to Austin and Connor Tucker. He is also survived by his twin brother Darryl (Dora).
He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Harriett Coates and a brother Karl.
Bob’s passion was summering at the cottage on Clearwater Bay and wintering in Texas with his many friends.
He was a proud employee of the Winnipeg Fire Department, serving 36 years before retiring in 2006 as District Chief. More recently he volunteered his time with the Salvation Army.
All Bob’s family and friends will dearly miss him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4 at 2:00 PM at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home 1291 McGilliivray Boulevard.
