Peacefully on March 26, 2021, following a lengthy battle with cancer, Rhona Bousquet passed away in her home with her family by her side at the age of 66. Rhona will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.
Rhona is survived by her children Maureena Downing (Stacey), Terri-Lee Bousquet, Misty Bousquet (Giang), Diane Bousquet, and Caitlin Ewanchuk (Jarett) Grandchildren Sky, DJ, Braiden, Synaira, Sarih, Jordan, Amaya, Hayden Great-Grandchild Brayson. Brothers/Sisters Roy, Dawn, Verona, Bernie, WIlliam, Richard, Racheal, Rodger, and Armand, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Mary and Norman Dubois, brother Norman 2011, sister Laurie 2018, sister Debbie 2020, and sister Elaine in infancy.
Rhona was born in Portage La Prairie on February 22, 1955 to the late Mary and Norman Dubois. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She loved music, dancing and being surrounded by her family. The holidays were always a special time for her to spend with loved ones. Rhona spent over 30 years employed by the University of Manitoba. She was a great advocate and was an active member of the Union. She will miss her brothers and sisters of the CAW/Unifor. Rhona also dedicated her life to her recovery community as she had a deep gratitude for this part of her life. She was honored and grateful to give back to the community that provided her much strength and guidance. We will always remember her big heart and happy laughter.
