Karen Elizabeth Bright

On Friday, January 10, 2014, Karen Elizabeth Bright passed away of cancer at the age of 52 years.

Karen will be forever loved and missed by her husband Bill, their son Kelly, step-daughters Keri (Kris) Bezditny and Aynsley (Eric) St. Pierre and her grandchildren, Kadence and Ava; her mother Doreen Hyde; her sister Catherine (Richard) Charles and their daughters Johanna (Ryan) and Erin (Kevin); her brother Cam (Connie Klawis) and Cam’s children Charlie (Emily) and Beth; her brother Gavin; Jon Falkenberg (Carol) and their children Annika and Jack; Bill’s mother Pat Royal; his brother Chuck (Lisa) and their children Kristen and Clayton; and his sister Carolyn (Peter) Malcolm and their son Bill. Karen will also be missed by extended family and many friends from near and far. Karen was predeceased by her father, Joseph Hyde.

Karen was a beautiful and fun person. She loved being with family and her many close friends. Through her adventures and travel in life, including her work in Human Resources (Canada Revenue Agency and Parks Canada) and her Australian work exchange, she formed many special relationships which were important to her. Karen was hard working and talented and was proud of her achievements. Karen enjoyed traveling, social events, sports and lake life. The family cottage will not be the same without her.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
