As 2023 closes, I will always remember it as the year Dr Reimer was called Home.

Dr Reimer was a great blessing to countless people over the years, but I will remember especially his love for children, and his great desire that they would come to Jesus.

For well over 20 years, Dr Reimer underwrote the sponsorship of children from poor families to attend summer Bible camp through Union Gospel Mission.  Over 30 thousand children heard about Jesus, and we believe many of them have followed Jesus and will join Dr Reimer one day.

We had "Camp Meetings" with Dr Reimer and his team twice a year to both plan and rejoice with what God was doing.  We miss these special meetings (and hugs) with Dr Reimer, but maybe we will have a final 'Camp Meeting' around the Throne.

Thank you for streaming this beautiful service for Dr. Reimer.   In each visit I had with him, he boasted of his sons, quizzing me if I had heard or seen this of their strengths.  Thank you for sharing him with so many of us.  His service was a wonderful trip down memory lane of the many values he imparted when he visited with me,  one of many charity representatives who came calling upon his advice, insights, and kind and generous donations. Dr. Reimer and Anne were very dear friends of my family since the 1960's in Boca Raton, Florida.  He had such a heart for the Gospel being shared around the World.  We thank the Lord that He brought them into our lives because their impact on us has just been amazing.  So our hearts are sad yet we are rejoicing that they are finally together and in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus.  John and I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family in the loss of this great man and humble servant.

Clarice and I want to let you know that we share in your sadness over the passing of Donald Reimer. Clarice is Don's double first cousin and  he and I were good friends in our teen years back in Steinbach. In more recent times our association has be mostly at the annual Penner cousin gatherings.  We pray that the Lord will be your comfort during these days of loss.

A memory: my father, Alfred F Reimer was hired by Dr Reimer in August 1952 and asked to move to Windsor Ontario to manage the Eastern division of Reimer Express. It was in 1959 that Dr Reimer gave me my first ride in an airplane, a Piper Tri-Pacer at Mt Hope Airport in Hamilton, Ontario. Besides being an awesome business visionary, Dr Reimer had a great love of flight & aviation. 
In a telephone conversation two weeks after his dear wife, Anne, passed away, he told me when he was 11 yrs old he had an older brother & a younger brother, both of them academics. But he was a boy who was set to conquer the world. It is no small wonder he established Reimer World Corp.
