Peacefully, after a brief illness, Bronislaw passed away on Tuesday June 22, 2010, at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
To cherish his memory, is his daughter Christine Makar (Ivan) and granddaughters Oriana and Ruslana,
daughter Tamara, and son Anthony and grandson Aiden;
brother Lou (Lil) and brother Florian; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
To mourn his passing is his devoted and loving “Kaitca”
Bronislaw was born on December 9, 1935 to John Gorski and Pauline Rybchuk in the district of Hyas, Saskatchewan. He received his education in Danbury and Hyas Saskatchewan. He graduated as an X-ray Technician and worked for a period of time in the Norquay and Canora Hospitals. He then enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon in the Field of Medicine. He completed his medical training with the Armed Forces and internship at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. His first practice as a physician was in Gypsumville, Manitoba. He returned to Winnipeg and established a full medical practice until his recent retirement.
In his profession, he always made himself available to others. His legacy will be his devotion to the care and well-being of people in need.
Bronislaw was preceded by his infant sister Sylvia in 1937, father John in 1982, brother Edward in 2005, and mother Pauline in 2009.
Funeral Services with High Mass was celebrated at St Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church,250 Jefferson Ave., Winnipeg on Monday June 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Cremation will take place at a later date.
