Martin Heger

Passed away peacefully on November 12, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Katharina (2014). Cherished father of Linda (Bob) and Gary (Cindy). Adored Opa of Derek, Brett, Nichol, Chelsey (Liban), Amirah and Aniyah. Cherished by Marie. Dear friend of Olga and Joe Schutz. He will be greatly missed by his brother -in- law John, sister -in-law Katie, nieces, nephews and friends. Martin lived life to the fullest, he was active in many social clubs including the Teutonia Club, The Saxon Club, and various card groups that he thoroughly enjoyed. He was an avid skier, fisherman, entertainer, and sports fan. He spent many years travelling with his wife, and will continue the road trip in heaven with her. Special thanks to the many doctors and nurses involved in the care of Martin, especially Dr. Dyer who showed true compassion and kindness throughout Dad’s journey.

Visitation will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E, (519-252-5711) on Sunday November 17, 2019 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, November 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church (1215 Parent Ave.) from 10am until the time of service at 11am. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Trinity Lutheran Church or Charity of Choice.
