Loving husband of 65 years to Anna Gertsakis. Devoted Dad of Larry (Joanne) Gertsakis and the late Michael Gertsakis (1998). Proud Dedo of Mark (Megan), Bobby (Sarah) and Stephanie (Lukas) Sundry. Great-dedo of Theodore and Penelope. Dear brother of George (Joyce), Tom (Pat), and Johnny (Soula). He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gus owned and operated Detroit Grill from 1951 to 1978. He switched career paths and began working at General Motor Transmission Plant where he retired from in 1996.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Anderson Funeral Home (895 Ouellette Ave. 519-254-3223) from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Friends and Family are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 9:00 am and travel with us in procession at 9:30 for mass at 10:00 am at Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church.
