The family sadly announces the passing of Evaleen (Evelyn) Sauve, on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Sauve (2004). Lovingly remembered by son Curtis MacDonald and his wife Jo-Anne Smail of New Dundee, Ont. and daughter Gail Hall of Windsor. Special grandmother of Randy MacDonald of Port Stanley, Kelly MacDonald and her fiance Jamie Marcoux of Amherstburg, Sherri Robert and her husband Dean of Chatham, Danny Bechard and his wife Leah of Windsor, Todd Bechard of Windsor, Matthew Clarke and his wife Suzanne of Vancouver. Loving great grandmother to Sarah and Tyler Bechard of Windsor. Born in Saskatchewan on September 22, 1919, Evelyn is the eldest child of Sam & Ruby Zarzour and will be sadly missed and fondly by her sister Frieda Goulet of Windsor and her special sister-in-law Anne Zarzour as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Dr. Ernest Zarzour and Don Borden. In her younger years, Evelyn worked tirelessly for the Windsor Christian Fellowship Church at the Love Centre and distributed clothing to those in need. During her years at La Chaumiere Retirement Home, she welcomed new patrons and made them feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue, (519) 254-3223 on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Anderson Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Windsor Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations of stuffed toys to benefit children in the area’s hospitals would be appreciated by the family.
