Miriam Elaine Hopkins, age 87, of Monroe, GA, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013. During her life, she was a real estate agent for Harris & Associates. Miriam was a believer of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hopkins; both of her parents, Perry and Fannie Mae Brooks Angle; a brother, Lanier P. Angle; and a sister, Geraldine Holm. Survivors include her son, Gregory Hopkins of Aurora, CO; her daughter, Gayle McDaniel of Monroe; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 before the service. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home Wednesday with Reverend Mike Dubree officiating. The interment will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
