Michael Earl Burke

Michael Earl Burke, 67 of Winder, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. Mike was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 24, 1955. Mike was raised in the Atlanta area and remained a Georgia resident throughout his adult years. Mike was a skilled guitar player and was even a guitar teacher. His favorite musicians included The Beatles and Eric Clapton. He was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was also a dog lover; he shared a special bond with his “Heart Dog”, Marcel, a Shih Tzu he rescued from Ohio. Mike loved his family and was loved by his family.

Michael Burke is preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Katherine Burke.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Deborah Burke, daughters Sharon Adams and Christy (Trey) Howard; grandchildren: Richard Williams, Austin Adams, Zachary Adams, Joshua Rechy, Jaime Rechy, Morgan Howard and Lindsey Howard; great-grandson, Cole Andrew Adams; sister, Wendy (Paul) Bethea; and nephews: Joel and Jordan Bethea.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Cancer Association.
