Mr. Edward Earl Sims

Mr. Edward Earl Sims, 68, of Winder passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was a warehouse operator with Windstream with 35 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Sims is preceded in death by his father, Lorenzia Sims; daughter, Karen Sims Clark; and sister, Carol Sims Burgess. Mr. Sims is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Michelle Sims of Winder; mother, Marion Edge Sims of Winder; son, Mike (Melanie) Sims of Winder; daughter, Holly Denise Sims of Winder; sisters, Wanda Jones of Monroe, Brenda (Jimmy) Sims Ku of Marietta, Glenda (William) Sims Fleming of Winder, and Dot Sims Matthews of Winder; and one granddaughter, Ashley McCall Sims.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder. The family will be receiving friends on Friday evening, May 20, 2016 from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
