Stephanie Paige Cheshire

Stephanie Paige Cheshire, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on October, 1st, 2021. Born February, 21st, 1990, to Richard and Melinda Cheshire, Stephanie grew up in Wilmington, where she excelled at every sport and was an incredible athlete. She was a friend to many and made an impact in the lives of the people she met. She lit up every room she entered with her big blue eyes and dimpled-smile. Stephanie told it like it was and fought for the underdog. She was caring and compassionate, while actively standing up for racial discrimination and social injustices.

She leaves behind her daughter Cadence, age 3; her parents, Richard and Melinda Cheshire, her twin brother Mike (partner Glenn), her older brother Wesley (wife Allie & their four children; Abby, Finn, Lilly, and Luke), her loving cousin Walter who was like another brother to her, a number of aunts and uncles, her cousins, and her cherished dog, Kayleigh.

Stephanie was a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, a friend, and most of all, she was a proud mother to her daughter, Cadence Miracle. Cadence has Stephanie’s big-dimpled smile, Stephanie’s charm, and she loves her family and friends as fiercely as her mother did. Stephanie will be missed dearly and remembered forever. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 18th at 1:00pm, Pine Valley United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Melinda or Richard Cheshire for a trust fund to be set for her daughter Cadence Jones, at Excite Credit Union.
