Louise Champion

LOUISE WATSON CHAMPION age 78, of Wilmington, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born June 25, 1939 in Richmond, VA to Thurman and Delphine Watson, who both preceded her in death.

She retired from New Hanover Hospital. She had attended Sunset Park Baptist Church and attended Winter Park Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years:Ronald Lee "Joe" Champion;two sisters: Dolly and Joyce and one brother: T.L. and two granddaughters: Ashley Champion and Chrissy Champion.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in law: Kimberly Champion Eaves and Del Eaves of Wilmington; two sons: Ronald David Champion of Wilmington and Thomas Wayne Champion of Wilmington; one brother: Charles Watson of Rocky Point, NC; 6 grandchildren: Todd, Brandy, Rachel, Mariah, Hunter, and Kelsey and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
