Kristie Shrewsbury

Kristie was born on June 19, 1978 in Silver Spring, Maryland to Donald and Charlotte (Rhodes) Shrewsbury. She graduated from Rockville High School in 1996.

Kristie suffered from mental illness her entire life. She never had it easy but managed to move through life the best she could. She always saw the best in others and would do whatever she could to help those in need, even when many times she was the one that needed help the most. We will remember her for her enormous heart and her giving spirit to everyone she met throughout her walk of life. Her funny sense of humor, her loud laughter and her kind compassionate spirit. She had an artistic gift of writing poems and drawing and we will cherish the ones she has left behind for us to hold onto. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends. This includes special times at family gatherings, special times with her daughter, niece and nephews.

Kristie is survived by her daughter, Skyelynn; her mother, Charlotte; her father Donald; her sister Kelly, her two children, Cheyenne and Chase; her brother, John (fiancé Nikki); his two children Colby and Weston; her sister, Kara; her great-nephew; Jaxon and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private viewing for family will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412 from 12:00–1:00pm with an open viewing from 1:00pm–2:00pm and a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm. Immediately following a reception will be held at Covenant Church, 210 Station Road, Wilmington, NC 28405 with light refreshments will be served.
