He was preceded in death by: Father John Cline Moore, Mother Gladys Garvey Moore, and Sister Jean Middleton. Joe’s legacy speaks for itself for all the good he has done for so many people.
Joe was the owner of Moore’s Glass Service for 46 years. He was very driven and proud to be a part of the enormous progress and growth of the city of Wilmington. Amongst some of those, he helped to build grocery stores, restaurants, colleges, schools, banks, retail shops, aquariums and the list goes on and on. Work always came first, but he made time to do the things he loved. He loved to go deep sea fishing with his grandson, watch UNC college basketball, travel with his wife to Paradise Islands which is Aruba which was his favorite, shopping trips with his granddaughter, home cooked meals, and eating lunch at Merritt’s Burger House with his son. Joe could light up a room with his smile and always made everyone laugh. May his smile and light live in our hearts and enrich in our lives forever. He had a very blessed life. God truly blessed us with good family, great friends, and His amazing grace.
He is survived by his Wife Lois Baker Moore, son Ryan Moore and his wife Michelle, Grandchildren Britney Moore and Austin Moore, brother, Billy Moore and his wife Cassie of Fleming Island, Florida, and his best buddy Tarheel Woof Woof
