Donna Ellen Woodward Zieska

Donna was born on February 21, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, daughter of the late, June Pangburn Woodward and Edward Woodward.

Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach and the American Legion Auxiliary 620 in Minnesota.

She was known for her “green thumb”, growing plants and working in the garden, a wonderful cook, and avid volleyball player in her youth but her true joy in life was being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Including her parents, she in preceded in death by her brothers; Glen Woodward and Jim Woodward; and grandsons, Corey and Joshua Zieska.

Donna is survived by her husband of 62 years, William L. Zieska; children, Mark Zieska, Deborah Buckingham, Phillip Zieska and Jewels Langmade; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Woodward Dover; brother, Lynn A. Woodward. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday March 18, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach, 409 N Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach 28428.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach Children’s Fund.
