Cecil Thomas Preston, age 89, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Cecil was on born January 17, 1933 in Bluefield, West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Preston Resnik.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; son, William Thomas Preston and his wife Ann; 4 grandsons: Peter and Michael Resnik and John and Nathan Preston.
He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after a lengthy employment. He was a member of Pine Valley Baptist Church and the American Legion. He played softball for Bell South for many years
A gathering of family and friends for Cecil will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC, N.C. 28409, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM.
