Bobbie Lou was born and raised in the Riegelwood area where she was a devoted wife of 58 years and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Riegelwood Baptist Church. She graduated from Acme-Delco High School in 1955 and earned her RN Degree at James Walker School of Nursing in 1958. Bobbie Lou worked in the nursing profession and devoted many years working with the American Red Cross on the Bloodmobile.
Born with a beautiful voice and raised in a musical family, Bobbie Lou graced ears with her rich alto harmonies in the Baptist Choir and family events. She loved watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren perform both on the athletic field and on the stage. Bobbie Lou spent many evenings cheering from the stands of the ballfields, racetrack and performances. God, family and her church were the foundation of her life which provided her with a spirit much larger than her physical stature.
Bobbie Lou enjoyed traveling with her husband and eternal soulmate, Ken. Their adventures led them all across America and the world abroad, but always returning to their beloved home, family and church. She will be greatly missed, but will live forever in the memories of the lives she touched with her beautiful smiles, giggles and love.
