Bernice Britt

Bernice was born in Horry County, South Carolina on November 11, 1934 daughter to Essie Mae Servis Williams and Weldon Williams. She is also preceded in death by son, Ronnie Dale Sellers; husband E.A. Britt.

When Bernice was younger she was an avid reader and loved history, along with her many hobbies, she loved shopping. She was always smartly dressed when going out on special occasions, but didn't mind get her hands dirty as an avid gardener, she loved her flowers and keeping a beautiful yard. She was a wonderful homemaker and could cook or bake anything and it was delicious, never bland but not to everyone's liking just a bit salty just like Bernice could be, but if she loved you, she loved you and you knew it. She fought many health battles along the way but with a lot of love and support lived a long life.

Bernice is survived by daughters, Debra McKeithan (John), Susan Powell (L.G.), Ellen Britt Watts (Marty); sons, Lloyd Britt (Lisa) and Tom Britt; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 1 special great granddaughter, Emmalyn Grace and many special nieces and nephews and her long time kitty companion, Tommi, whom she loved dearly.

The family would especially like to thank, Elah Baptist Church, Brent and Erica Irwin, a special friend, Sandy and her family and Debbie Smith Johnson, whose loving dedication and devotion to Bernice's care enriched her life so very much.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm on Monday December 16, 2024 at Elah Baptist Church, 1527 Old Fayetteville Road, Leland, NC 28451.

Funeral Service will start at 1:00pm with Reverend Kenneth W. Long, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at King Memorial Garden.
