Jesus Briseno Torres passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 72, in his hometown of Wilmington, California. His battle with multiple myeloma cancer for the last 5 years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Jesus stayed strong until the end.
Born on May 30, 1952 in Tangancicuaro, Michoacan, Mexico to Maria Trinidad and David Torres. Survived by his wife Martha, his children Arthur, Marisa, David, Jesus Jr., Veronica, Martita, Salvador and Tony. His grandchildren Nicole, Pete Jr., Daniel, Raymond, Louie, Elizabeth, Andrew, Adam, Audryna, Emma, Ricardo Jr., and Emilio. His great grandchildren Ailani and Roman. His siblings Leonor, Jose, Maria Dolores, Arturo, David, and Martin. Also many nieces, nephews and family friends. Predeceased by his parents, his children Sylvia, Pete, Martin, his siblings Carmen, Salvador and Maria Trinidad.
Jesus was the self-proclaimed Mayor of Wilmington, his charisma and personality was adorned and loved by many. He was a man of humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. Jack of all trades he was able to share his accomplishments with many people. He was a hard worker and a devoted brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend. His family and extended family friends were very important to him. Jesus loved carpentry and worked as a general contractor for more than 30+ years until he was forced to stop due to his illness. He enjoyed cooking and watching sports. He loved attending and showing up for grandchildren’s sports events. Jesus was always there to help everyone with a helping hand or listening ear.

A viewing for Jesus will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, 1640 North Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744.
