Richard H. Fimoff, 76. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betsy), née Iapalucci, for almost 52 years. Devoted father of Rebecca (Dan Lindgren), and Sandra. Son of the late Sylvia and Seymour Fimoff. Loving brother of Joan (Scott Bogot). Caring uncle to many.
Richard grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He attended von Steuben high school and the University of Illinois. He graduated from Rutgers Law School in New Jersey. Richard met Betsy there. After graduation he practiced law in Chicago for almost 50 years before retiring to Henderson, Nevada. He loved retirement and did not miss Chicago winters, loved his dog Jake, living across the street from treasured friends Linda and Jack, and took up woodworking. He will be greatly missed.
Friends and family will gather for a memorial service for Richard that will be held Monday, August 21st, 2 pm at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Boulevard, Wilmette, Illinois. Shiva will be held following the service at Max and Benny’s, 461 Waukegan Road, Northbrook, Illinois 60062.
