Walter T. Hoffman, 97, of Cheektowaga, who owned and operated W.T. Hoffman Delivery Service with his late wife, Thelma, died Dec. 10. Mr. Hoffman also owned and operated apartment buildings in Amherst.
Born Feb. 5, 1927, in Buffalo, he attended Hutch-Tech High School, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1995 and divided his time between Western New York and Southern Florida. He was an avid racquetball player and golfer, and enjoyed going to the racetrack, and playing poker with friends.
Husband of the late Thelma M. (Rochevot) Hoffman; father of Phillip (Donna) Hoffman and Barbara (Michael) Merhige; grandfather of six; great-grandfather of eight. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
