David James Dougherty IV

Of Williamsville, NY, passed away peacefully at Harris Hill Nursing Facility after suffering two strokes in 2022. Dave was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 23, 1943. Beloved husband of 56 years of Julie J.(nee Rowe) Dougherty; loving father of David James, V and Peter Lawrence Dougherty; predeceased

by his middle son James“Jamie” Patrick Dougherty (on June 8, 2024 from a stroke); loving grandfather to Mariah, David, VI “DJ”, Piper, Augustus“Gus” and Hannah Dougherty;also survived by his loving niece

Sharon, nephews Greg and Geoff Rowe and sister-in-law Priscilla Rowe-Howe. Dave was predeceased by his parents David James, III and Maria(h) Patton Wilson Dougherty, his sister Marian Helena Dougherty (January 16, 2024) and brother-in-law Lawrence G. (Barbara) Rowe, Jr. Dave was retired from General Motors Powertrain Division (Tonawanda) after 40 years. He enjoyed many years at a cottage on Conesus Lake (Cottonwood Cove) that was in Julie’s family for a century. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning, October 26th at 10:30 in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Main and Harris Hill, Williamsville.
