William H. Leggett

William H Leggett, 78 died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Martin General Hospital. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Doug Knox officiating; burial will follow at the Mobley Cemetery on Bear Grass Road.

Mr Leggett was born On March 24, 1937 in Martin County son of the late Mack and Beulah Biggs Leggett. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser Company where he worked as a machine operator for 32 years.

His wife Shelby Leggett preceded him in death and brothers Mack Leggett, Leroy Leggett, and sisters Annie Mae Starnes and Mary Rogers, and grandson Troy Edwards Jr. also preceded him in death.

He is survived by sons Willie Leggett, and Al Leggett and wife Tammy Hyatt Leggett both of Bear Grass, daughter Lisa Leggett of Bear Grass and grandchild Justin Leggett and great grandchild Alexis Nicholson brothers John Leggett, Joe Leggett, Jimmy Leggett and Earnest Leggett all of Bear Grass, King Leggett of Williamston, sisters Betty Rae Starnes of Charlotte and Viola Leggett Sanderlin of Bear Grass

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 4500 Bear Grass Rd.
