He is survived by his sons: James Henry Bunch, Jr. (Susanne) of Amherst, VA and Steven Edward Bunch (Brenda) of Wilmington, NC, his only grandchild: Bryan Henry Bunch & wife Leeanna of Amherst, VA. His surviving sisters: Ruby Wynne of Williamston, NC, Nina Mae Webb of Visalia, California, Sister-in-law: Ethel Browning (Arch) of Plymouth, NC.
James was predeceased by his wife Elvie Bowen Bunch.

James served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired as a 26 year veteran of the Williamston Fire Dept.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 from 6:00pm-7:30 pm at Biggs Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Robbie Parker at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 21, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Williamston, NC.
