Sharon was born on July 22, 1946 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Clarence A. and Bessie Elaine (Peters) Trump. She attended Sexton High School and was in the graduating class of 1964. Following high school, Sharon went on to work at Waverly School Systems for 4 years.
Sharon met the love of her life, Ronald Dietz, on a blind date, and they were married on August 14, 1965 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lansing. Together, they built a home that was founded on faith, love, and laughter.
Once Sharon and Ron started a family, Sharon was promoted to her favorite job: Mom. She loved taking care of her kids and being as involved as she possibly could be. Sharon stayed home to make sure she did not miss out on a second of her children's life. The day she became a grandmother, her already big heart, grew more. She was deemed "happy grandma" as she was always the bright light in her grandchildren's lives. Sharon always had a smile on her face. She was also nicknamed "donut grandma" as donuts were a very special food shared between them. Sharon was always making sure others were fed. Even when she was in the hospital and in hospice.
Sharon was strong in her faith. She was endowed in the church and was a Sunday school teacher. Over the years, she was a member of the Compass Church of Naperville and Williamston Free Methodist Church.
In Sharon's freetime, she would volunteer as an Election Judge for over 20 years. She was a very caring and compassionate woman. She enjoyed shopping, but not for herself. It was shopping for others, that she enjoyed. If one could describe Sharon in three words, they would be: kind-hearted, selfless, and loving.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Ron Dietz; children, Tim (Stephanie) Dietz and Kim (Dan) Raysby; grandchildren, Dustin Raysby, Ian Raysby, Brittany Raysby, Courtney Raysby, Emma (Nick) Chema, Jake Dietz, and Rachel Dietz; great-grandchildren, Averie Raysby and Denali Chema; siblings, Tom (Yolanda) Trump, Tami (Rich) Richards, and Cindy (Art) Anders; and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bessie Trump.
A funeral service for Sharon will be held 11AM Monday, June 19th at Williamston Free Methodist Church, 4400 N Williamston Rd, Williamston, MI 48895, with visitation an hour prior. A graveside service will follow the funeral at Alchin Farm Cemetery in Webberville, MI.
