Margaret "Marge" Lounsbury, 80, of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Williamston, MI, entered Eternal Life with our Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on April 5, 2021. Her devotion to God, her family, and her many friends supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her strength and peace.
Marge was born to Pat and Ann Scavarda in 1940 in Lansing, Mi. She graduated from Resurrection High School in Lansing, in 1958. Two months after she graduated, she married the love of her life, Glenn Lounsbury. They moved to Williamston, where they raised six children, and lived for 32 years.
Once her children were in school, she got her CDL and drove bus for the Williamston Schools. Those kids meant so much to her. She loved to hear “Good Morning Mrs. Lounsbury”. She enjoyed driving to sporting events and field trips. Upon retirement, Marge and Glenn sold their home on Church Street, and traveled the country, coast to coast, in their motorhome, eventually settling in Florida.
Marge loved going to the casinos, playing and winning bingo (six times in one night!), playing cards, and organizing trips with her friends that she had in Rainbow Village. She also loved going out to eat with those friends. One of her famous lines was “When we retired, I retired from cooking!”, and she did!
Marge is survived by her six children: Cathy (Steve Biechele), Julie (Jon Dean), Jim and Lynne, Mark and Erin, Steve and Heather, Chris and Erika. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and six and a half great-grandchildren. Marge was predeceased by her loving husband Glenn in 2020, sister Pat, and brother Joe.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children Hospital in Memphis, TN, and the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation in Tampa, FL.
