Laura was a longtime resident of Williamston, Michigan, living there for over 50 years where she loved the country life, watching the birds and other wildlife that would visit in her yard. Her pet geese caused her to be known as “Grandma Goose” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Laura married Charlie Sellmeyer in 1954; they had 7 children together. Charlie passed away in 1979. On May 15, 1982 she married Darrell Pulling adding eight step-children to her family. In 1995 she started an art business “Originals by Laura”. She displayed her work at East Lansing Farmers Market and St. Martha craft shows, as well as other local venues. Her artwork can be found today in any one of her children and grandchildren’s homes.
She loved traveling; making several trips to England where she made life-long friends. She also enjoyed swimming daily.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, Charlie Sellmeyer; second husband, Darrell Pulling and daughter, Christine Sellmeyer (Dabney).
She is survived by her children; Anne (Juan) Castrajon, Katherine (Bob) Fleming, Mary (Randy) Chunn, Frank Sellmeyer, Karl Sellmeyer, Charles “Bud” Sellmeyer and 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Sunday July 22, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Williamston, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 1100 W. Grand River Ave., Okemos, Michigan with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Williamston, Michigan.
