Janice (Klausing) (Tefft) Klanecky, 73, of Williamston, MI lost her battle with life, while displaying immense courage, dignity and grace, at U of M Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI on Wednesday Nov. 27, 2013; her favorite time of year.
Janice Marie was born on July 29, 1940 to Herbert and Anna (Sinkovitz) Klausing in Howell, MI. She attended Fowlerville Schools where she met and married Eugene Tefft on January 17, 1957, who preceded her in death.
Janice was a simple and fun-loving person who always loved a good joke. She was hard-working, kind, caring and generous. She believed in leading by example, demonstrating tremendous strength, courage and faith and living by the bible. Janice was a very strong willed woman with incredible independence and perseverance who lived life on her own terms. She loved animals, birds, butterflies, and babies. In recent years, her health began to deteriorate until she reluctantly succumbed to death; battling to the end, but ready to meet her Father, Lord and Savior.
Janice is survived by her husband of the past 30 years, Mike Klanecky; daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Alan (Tefft) Luedtke of Millington, MI and daughter Karen (Tefft) Springer of East Lansing, MI; five grandchildren, Brandon, Kristen and Chelsea Luedtke and Katie and Joey Springer; two brothers, Leonard and Robert Klausing and a sister, Phyllis Brophy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, MaryAnn Klausing.
The family will receive visitors at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home in Williamston, MI from 1:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday Dec. 1, 2013. Funeral services will take place on Monday Dec. 2, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamston, MI with the Rev. Peter J. Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Williamston.
