He was preceded in death by William Franklin Shutt, Jr., and Edyth Craven Shutt.
William retired from IBM, working as a Sr. Systems Engineer. He was a member of Hickory Neck Episcopal Church as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge of Williamsburg, Shriners, NRA, the Lafayette Gun Club, and the Senior Center. He also coached soccer for his daughters’ teams. William served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Carol L. Shutt ; brother, James C. Shutt; sister-in-law, Cindy L. Shutt; daughter, Melissa C. Casheros; son-in-law, Chris A. Casheros; daughter, Pamela L. Chambers; grandchildren, Corder L. Chambers, Ava H. Chambers, Quinn A. Casheros, and Evan B. Casheros.
A memorial service will take place at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, 8300 Richmond, Rd., Toano, VA 23168, on Monday, July 21, at 2pm.
