Sandra Butch Hodge

Sandra B. Hodge, 78, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away September 26, 2022. She was born March 4, 1944, in Harrisburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Hodge. Sandra had been a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1976, and was also a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church. She loved all her fur babies, and created blankets for SPCA New Pet Adoptions in Williamsburg. Sandra also loved her bird feeders, and especially enjoyed spending time with the hummingbirds on her porch. They would always gather around her as if she could talk to them. Sandra had a knack for developing special recipes, notably her famous macaroni salad and banana bread. She loved spending time with her grandchildren at Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, creating special memory albums from the many pictures she took. Shopping on QVC was another fun hobby for her, and she often surprised loved ones with the gifts she bought. Sandra is survived by her sons, Keith Hodge (Stephanie) and David Hodge (Erika); and grandchildren, David Hodge Jr., Michael Hodge, and Peyton Hodge. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 6 at Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg. A private family service will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
