Sandra Costello Davis

Sandra was born May 2, 1937 to Clyde and Jeanette (Tait) Costello in Kankakee, IL. She graduated from Kankakee High School in 1955 and in 1959 graduated from Eastern Illinois University in Elementary Education. While in University, Sandra was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Sandra married Fred Davis and began her career as kindergarten teacher. She later turned to real estate, most recently Kingsmill Reality, and won many awards.

Her proudest achievement was being mother to her daughter, Stacey Lynn, who preceded her in death. After Fred’s death from cancer in 1997, Sandy was instrumental in cofounding Williamsburg Relay for Life. She was most pleased to use a dove release, memorial lanterns, and the bagpipe band. She remained active until recently.

Sandra is survived by her granddaughter, Peyton Keith (Noah); sister, Linda Durfee of Vernon, CT; brother, Thomas Costello (Francie) of Lawrence, KS; great-grandson, Knox Keith; as well as several nieces and nephews.
