Laverne was a Godly woman who loved her family very much. Friendly and gracious to all she met, she loved learning and was a voracious reader.
Laverne was preceded in death by her husband, John Kopp, and her son, James Kopp. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Angela (and her husband, Robert), Albert (and his wife, Drucella), Frank, and Charles, who was killed in the Second World War.
She is survived by her nephew, Thomas Heinen, son of Angela, and her niece, Nancy Hagedorn, daughter of Albert.
A service for Laverne will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, Virginia.
