Charles Weston Hetherington

Chuck was a retired Colonel with a very diverse career in the United States Air Force serving as a fighter pilot in World War II (P38’s Pacific) and Vietnam (F4’s 100 missions) as well as a Tactical Fighter Squadron commander in the 1970’s. He held numerous planning, logistics and procurement leadership positions later in his career.

He enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling but most of all golfing.

Chuck is preceded in death by his mother, Libby; brother, Thomas Hetherington and Tom’s dear wife Nell.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Margaret “Marge” Hetherington; sons, Kevin Hetherington and David J. (Diane) Hetherington; and two cherished grandchildren, Michelle Hetherington and Michael (Naomi) Hetherington. Loved Nieces & Nephews, Anne Sutherland, Jeanie Hetherington, Margaret “Megs” Hetherington and Thomas “Tommy” Hetherington.

Services will be scheduled at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center, 7134 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL 34785.
