Was born on January 3, 1921 in Wheeler, WA to Christian (Chris) and Clara (Roduner) Dormaier, and was one of 12 children. In 1924 the family moved to the Hartline area where they farmed. George started school in Hartline and graduated from High School in 1939. He later attended Northwest Bible Institute in Seattle for a period of time. He made Hartline his lifelong home and passed away May 18, 2015 in Davenport, WA. George is survived by two brothers Lourence Dormaier and Allen (and Darlene) Dormaier, three children David (and Kathy) Dormaier, Duane Dormaier, Diane (and David) Oliver, stepson Louis (and Karen) Marselles, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. George is preceded in death by his wife Joanne and wife Mercedes, daughter Elaine, step son Kenneth, two sisters and seven brothers. He is a Christian and a charter member of Hartline Assembly of God, member of the Wilson Creek Grange and was a Soil Conservation Farmer of the year. George enjoyed a lifetime of farming, was an avid reader, loved to sing hymns, valued his family and supported them in all their endeavors. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hartline Assembly of God followed by interment at the Hartline Cemetery. Pastor Dennis Cooper and David Oliver, officiating.
